Formerly known as "Côtes du Lubéron", the "Lubéron" designation covers nearly 2,700 hectares and encompasses more or less the Lubéron limestone massif and the Vaucluse.
The red and rosé wines are mainly made from Grenache noir, Mourvèdre and Syrah, while Grenache blanc and Ugni blanc are the basic white grape varieties. The summer sunshine favours the ripening of the grapes and the winds protect the vineyard from cryptogamic attacks. Strong diurnal and nocturnal thermal amplitudes directly influence the wines and give them freshness and elegance.
