TERROIR

The plots are located in the villages of Courthézon and Bédarrides.

  • In Courthézon, the soil is composed of sands and sandstones deposited by the sea during the Miocene period (-16 to -11 My). They are covered by colluvium rich in quartzite pebbles from more recent fluvial deposits.

  • In Bédarrides, the soil is made of rolled pebbles, a kind of alpine quartzite pebbles mixed with a red clay matrix which were deposited by the sea during the Pliocene (-5 to -2 My).

WINEGROWING & WINEMAKING

The cuvée LES VIGNES DE MON PÈRE is a red wine that blends 4 grape varieties and 2 terroirs.
It also evokes a childhood memory, when the winemaker observed her father in the middle of the vineyards. Tribute....

The vines are cultivated according to the principles of the Organic Agriculture: one row out of two is grassed, and the soil is enriched by adding sheep compost.

The grapes are harvested manually and destemmed. Then they are placed in vats for the alcoholic fermentation under the action of indigenous yeasts. The skin maceration lasts between 12 and 18 days, where pumping over and punching down are carried out to break the marc capthat forms at the vat's top and reintegrate the skins into the fermenting juice.

Once the maceration is over, the must is racked into concrete vats to finish its fermentations and to mature for 12 to 15 months.

The bottle is sealed with a DIAM3® cork stopper which guarantees the absence of any TCA contamination or cork taste.
