The Morgon designation is located in the village of Villié-Morgon and the vineyard is at an altitude varying from 250 to 500 meters. The temperate climate and the drying wind from the North make it possible to limit the development of vine diseases.
The Morgon designation soil consists of granitic rocks as well as metamorphic rocks resulting from a primary rocks alteration. The crystalline rocks disintegration gives soils rich in iron oxide responsible of its red ocher color.
This unique terroir offers complex Morgon wines, long in the mouth and with very good cellar potential.
