The Saint Amour designation is one of the ten crus of the Beaujolais, whose granite and schist slopes produce the best wines. The Gamay, the grape variety at the origin of the Saint-Amour red wines, is a productive grape variety that matures early. The vines are traditionally managed in gobelet.
