Bandol is one of those rare places in the world that have all the ideal conditions to produce wines naturally. With its slopes facing the sea and protected from the cold north wind, Bandol is one of the very first regions on this side of the Mediterranean to have had vineyards since the 6th century BC, and owes its reputation to a single grape variety: the Mouvèdre.
Benefiting from an unusual ageing potential in the South, Bandol wine became one of the most sought-after wines in the 18th century. Presenting aromas of blackberries, pepper and spices in its youth, it develops complex notes of leather, undergrowth, cooked red fruits, licorice and spices, while preserving an astonishing harmony and a great elegance.
