Initially known as "Coteaux du Languedoc", then renamed "Languedoc", the designation includes numerous communes in the departments of the Gard , the Hérault, the Aude and the Pyrénées Orientales.
The winegrowing activity on the Languedoc hillsides has existed for more than 2000 years, from Roman times to the present day, with a gradual evolution of production towards sweet wines or fortified wines.
The hot and dry Mediterranean climate allows for ripe tannins in red wines and roundness in white and rosé wines.
Specialized in amphora wines, we offer you a selection of the best white, red and rosé wines vinified in amphorae.
You will find vintages:
- fermented and aged in clay amphorae
- fermented in traditional tanks and aged in clay amphorae
- partially aged in clay amphorae...
...not to mention the rare wines vinified entirely in Qvevris!
