Few regions in Europe are as fascinating for the diversity of their landscapes as the Roussillon. The vines grow here at an altitude of up to 600m, benefiting from great sunshine and a beneficial north-westerly wind that blows about every third day. It is the red grape varieties that benefit the most from these climatic conditions.
To the Carignan, which reigned unchallenged in the Roussillon vineyards, have been added the fruity and round Grenache Noir, the dark and complex Syrah, and the difficult but very refined Mourvèdre. By blending these four grape varieties, motivated winemakers who make a strict selection of plots and grapes, give birth to rare and remarkable wines.
