Muriel LANGUENET, founder of the VignArtea® wine shop

Let's take the example of Mrs Christiane DUPOND who wants to have a bottle of wine delivered to the customer service department of the company VIGNARTEA.

Once logged in, she creates two addresses (by clicking on MY ACCOUNT and then on MY ADDRESSES): her personal address, which she calls Home, and the VIGNARTEA company address, which she calls My-Recipient.

She then returns to the home page of the site, and after putting the desired bottle in the shopping cart, she arrives on the following order page:

The main address is automatically displayed in the DELIVERY ADDRESS and BILLING ADDRESS boxes. To change it, click on the green CHECK OUT button, you will get to the following page:

The Check Box USE THE DELIVERY ADDRESS AS THE BILLING ADDRESS is checked by default. Simply uncheck it, then select the desired addresses from each of the drop-down menus that just appeared - DELIVERY ADDRESS and BILLING ADDRESS - starting with the delivery address on the left, then the billing address on the right, as shown in the screen below:

There are two reasons why the shipping costs calculated in the shopping cart do not match the price ranges indicated on the delivery page:

  1. The exceptional weight of the bottle: as indicated in the delivery page, the charges are calculated by 12 bottles except for champagnes and some heavier bottles for which they are calculated by 10 bottles.

Exceptionally heavy bottles that may cause the shipping cost to exceed a certain range are identified in the product description by the following message: The exceptional bottle's weight (1.8kg) may result in higher shipping costs for the final shopping cart.

  2. The delivery address is located in an area known as remote or difficult to access for which the carrier charges a supplement, as indicated on the delivery page. This includes mountainous areas and coastal locations.

No, customs fees are NOT included in the shipping costs.

These are calculated when the parcel enters the customs clearance zone: you will receive a customs clearance invoice from the carrier with the amount you will have to pay to release the parcel and allow it to be delivered to your home.

Customs duties are calculated by adding the following amounts:

  • customs duty = [actual value of the products + shipping costs + insurance] converted into the currency of the destination country x rate of duty

  • VAT = [actual value of the products + shipping costs + insurance + customs duties] converted into the currency of the country of destination x the VAT percentage of the country of destination

  • a carrier handling fee, either fixed or as a percentage of the actual value of the products, depending on the carrier.

The rates of customs duties, VAT and handling fees are specific to each country and can generally be consulted on the customs website of the concerned country.

When you request a password reset, two emails are sent to you:

  • a first one entitled PASSWORD QUERY CONFIRMATION which contains a link to confirm your wish to reset your password. By clicking on this link, you will be taken to a page confirming that your password has been reset.

  • a second one entitled YOUR NEW PASSWORD which contains the password that you just have to copy/paste or enter in the 'password' field of the authentication page to your account.

Payment by credit card on the Internet is secured by the 3D Secure system with strong authentication.
Once the bank details have been entered on the payment page (credit card number, validity date and visual cryptogram), you will receive an authentication request on your mobile phone.
This authentication request must be confirmed either by entering the personal code, or by entering biometric data, or by entering a unique personal characteristic.

In the absence of any authentication by 3D Secure, the payment is invalidated by the bank and your order is not confirmed.

However, some payments may be rejected without any link to an authentication failure. These failures are linked to the browser and cookies installed on your computer or to advertising blockers.

To avoid any disappointment at the payment stage, we advise you to:

  • deactivate the advertising blocker

  • empty the browser cache and delete all the cookies
