Four designations surround Saint-Emilion's: Montagne, Lussac, Saint-Georges, and Puisseguin. These villages add their name to the Saint-Émilion village to compose the title given to their designation. Two main grape varieties, particularly well adapted to the local climate and soil, are grown there: Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Unlike the neighboring Médoc region, Cabernet Sauvignon is only used in very small quantities on the right bank, as it does not get enough heat to reach full maturity. This is what led the Saint-Emilion region to use between 50 to 70% Merlot and 20 to 50% Cabernet Franc, thus producing fruity and round wines.

- Palate: structured. Tight tannins.
Tasting date: May 2023.
OUR OPINION: a promising vintage, but still young. In its early years, I recommend decanting 1 to 2 hours before drinking, or even opening it the day before. It should reach its peak in 2026-2028.
Since 2023, bottles have no longer been capped. French excise duty has been duly paid by the producer.
The nose is flattering, tasty, and delivers delicate aromas of cherries, red fruits, and licorice. The palate has a lot of fruits, a beautiful structure and is well-balanced.
Beautiful and well-concentrated juice with a very aromatic nose of black cherries, blackberries, currants and blueberries. The mouth is fine, round, fruity, with slightly woody notes. A very well-balanced vintage!
