In the Middle Ages, the monasteries had greatly developed the vineyards of the region, and in the 17th century the Dutch began to take an interest in these wines. But it is only in the last decade that some winegrowers, especially those around Bordeaux, have succeeded in achieving a good level of quality but also in attracting the attention of wine lovers around the world.
Palate: silky body with fine tannins. Delicious cherry finish.
Tasting date: October 2023.
OUR OPINION: this Cahors wine is as well-made as ever, elegant and tasty. I've always appreciated Benoît Aymar's work, and the passing years only confirm his talent!
Beautiful and intense aromas of honey, nuts, bitter orange peel, quince paste and acacia flowers. The palate, well-balanced, long, tasty and complex, stretches into a salivating orange peel finish: an exquisite sweet wine.
