The Minervois spreads its limestone terraces from the foot of the Montagne Noire to the Canal du Midi and the Aude. The 4500 hectare winegrowing area of the Minervois designation includes 45 communes in the Aude and 16 in the Hérault. The center of this region encompasses the stony terraces of Argent Double, the balconies of the Aude with its brown marl and the large wine-producing commune of Laure, as well as the hills of the Petit Causse.
Powerful, generous and high-ageing potential red wines are produced here, while the whites are warm, floral and flavorful.
