New product
- Nose: fresh and lively. Notes of rose, raisins, white flowers, with a hint of spice and menthol.
- Palate: tasty, salivating and supported by a fine acidity. Precise contours, persistent and slightly saline finish.
Tasting date: March 2024.
OUR OPINION : a nice surprise! The blend of these three grape varieties is astonishingly successful! The smoky notes of the Riesling and the rose scents of the Gewürztraminer blend harmoniously, and it's very pretty and atypical! A real favourite!

TRAIT D'UNION is a blend of three grape varieties with an atypically fresh and aromatic bouquet. Very pleasant to drink, it is perfect and particularly suited to summer meals with friends over an aperitif.
TRAIT D'UNION is not only a blend of three grape varieties, but also of three localities on the Ingersheim plain.
The soils are predominantly marl-limestone, made up of conglomerates of limestone pebbles coated with marl.
They are derived from scree from the edges of the Rhine Graben when it collapsed during the Tertiary Era (-66 My to -2.58 My).
They are mainly yellowish oolitic limestones that the torrents have shaped into pebbles of varying sizes. These were deposited at the same time as calcareous clays (marls) or calcareous sands to form a more or less cemented rock, commonly known as ‘conglomerate’. Of varying composition, they are all rich in active limestone and the fertility of the soil depends on the clay, which binds minerals and retains water. .
All the grape varieties, especially the early-ripening ones, thrive on this terroir, which produces powerful, well-balanced wines with great longevity.
The vines are grown according to the principles of the Organic Farming and the Biodynamics.
TRAIT D'UNION is a wine made from grapes from three varieties vinified separately.
The grapes are harvested by hand, then pressed in stainless steel vats in which alcoholic fermentation begins spontaneously under the action of indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation carried out by indigenous bacteria.
The must is then aged for 10 months, racked before being filtered through kieselguhr and plate, and then bottled.
