Alsace is one of the most enchanting wine-growing regions in the world, with beautiful flower-filled villages that bear witness to the prosperity of the wine-growers in the 15th and 16th centuries, when Alsatian wines were exported throughout Europe.
Alsace wines are not governed by the same statutes as other French wines. There are only three designations: one for the varietal wines, one for the 'grands crus' and a third for the crémant d'Alsace.
The juice is clear, of a beautiful orange color. There is a slight reduction present on the nose which disappears after a few minutes of aeration in the glass, to give way to elegant notes of kiwi, mirabelle plum, quetsche and a hint of lily of the valley. On the palate, the juice is supple and delicious with a slightly peaty finish evoking whiskey.
A wine of finesse and delicacy, a nice surprise !

The juice is salmon-colored, and the nose, intense and totally atypical, evokes the armagnac : there are scents of ripe apricots, rhubarb, raisins, and quince paste. The mouth is supple, invigorating and very pleasantly scented, the tannins are barely noticeable. A beautiful curiosity !

OUR OPINION: the aromatic persistence of this grand cru is impressive, this wine is superb because it has a beautiful tension.
This elegant 2013 vintage reveals a nose with first petroleum aromas, which opens gradually on complex aromas of lemon, mandarin, candied orange and white peach. The palate is lively, mineral and lemony. The finish has a fine aromatic persistance and stretches on delicate notes of quinces. A success.
Generous and floral nose, with scents of rose, lychees and dried apricots. The palate is lively and elegantly scented. A very fresh and very floral vintage !
