OUR OPINION: only pleasure...
Acquired in 1965 by the Sipp family, this 1.5 ha terroir belonged to the Seigneurial lands of the Ribeaupierre family. Under the protection of the Château de Saint-Ulrich built on the rocky summit that dominates it, the Clos Ribeaupierre has vertiginous slopes exceeding sometimes 40% and a poor and stony granitic soil on which the Pinot Gris vines opens up.
The overripe grapes are harvested manually, their fermentation is slow, and the must is aged for 9 months on fine lees, in oak barrels for one part and in casks for the other part. All dressed in gold, this wine offers a rich and powerful nose, and a tasty and fresh palate.
