After a 2 hours decanting, the nose offers beautiful aromas of black fruits, spices and grilled coffee. The palate is structured and fruity, it offers a beautiful length with a finish stretching on blackcurrant notes. It's fresh and very nice!
"Les Pointes du Deffends" is a cuvée made from 40-year-old vines, planted on south-east facing slopes with a clay-limestone soil. Mainly composed of Syrah, this wine needs to be decanted a few hours before the service. It can be drunk now, but a some extra years of aging can be beneficial.
