The Côte d'Or is the region of Burgundy where the greatest wines are made. The red-brown color of the vine leaves in autumn is the origin of the name "Côte d'Or". Benefiting from an ideal exposure allowing them to benefit from the rays of the rising sun, the vines are also protected by the presence of the Morvan massif.
The Côte d'Or is divided into two parts: the Côte de Beaune, essentially renowned for its white wines but also for its red Corton, and the Côte de Nuits producing essentially red wines considered as the masters of elegance.
- Nose: notes of strawberry and raspberry, cinnamon and black pepper.
- Palate: round, supple and pleasantly fruity.

OUR OPINION: the tiny quantities supplied do not allow me to sacrifice a bottle for tasting. As those wines are of impeccable quality year after year, I wrote the tasting notes of the 2019 vintage as an indication.
- Nose: intense, tasty and spicy. Notes of black pepper, red and black fruits with a hint of violet.
- Palate: round and tasty. Silky tannins that are barely perceptible. A delicacy!
Tasting date: December 2022.
OUR OPINION: 2020 is a very successful vintage, perfectly balanced between the fruit and the spices. It's so good!
- Nose: intense and slightly toasted. Notes of white flowers and lime, with a hint of aniseed.
- Palate: supple and tonic. Slight creamy notes and a very long finish. Good aromatic persistence.
Tasting date: December 2022.
OUR OPINION: Maillard's Bourgogne Aligoté ages very well, we tested it on the 2013 vintage which, after 7 years, offered a very nice bouquet. The 2020 vintage is complex and elegant, it is an excellent value for money.

- Nose: intense and spicy, slightly balsamic. Notes of black pepper, blackberry, blueberry and menthol.
- Palate: finely structured with supple tannins. Nice freshness, tasty finish.

OUR OPINION: this volnay needs to be get some fresh air before tasting. Then It reveals powerful mentholated and spicy aromas that make it atypical. I would recommend this very fine cuvée to lovers of "dark" and rich wines.

- Nose: intense. Slightly creamy and toasted notes, citrus aromas with a hint of citron and orange peel.
- Palate: salivating and energetic. Persistent finish.

OUR OPINION: a successful vintage with a beautiful aromatic complexity both on the nose and the palate. The Sylvain Morey style is undeniably present, it is always so well made!

- Nose: floral and delicately toasted. Notes of citrus fruits, green apple and a touch of cream.
- Palate: frank attack. Supple and salivating juice. Nicely lemony finish.

OUR OPINION: this rosé is unique: tasty, sapid and fresh, it is a real treat. A rosé for meals, with a lot of complexity and elegance. Bluffing!
