GEOLOGY: The Grand Clos Rousseau plot is situated at the gateway to the Maranges, drawing its character from a terroir shaped by the oceans over 150 million years ago. This JURASSIC heritage offers an exceptional mosaic of soils. It is in the lower part of this "climat", on the clay-limestone soils of the BAJOCIAN era, that the estate has chosen to cultivate its Pinot Noir. On this specific terroir, nature takes its time: the grapes ripen later than in Chassagne-Montrachet. This slow maturation gives birth to deep, well-structured wines, distinguished by intense concentration and tannins of noble firmness.

"The Santenay Grand Clos Rousseau from Sylvain MOREY is masterful: it leads us through a spirited waltz of indulgence, offering the generous fruit of a strawberry and redcurrant jam in a delicately spiced juice. Its presence on the palate is impeccable, dressed in silk: it is round, light, and fresh; quite simply, it is beautiful! (Remember to decant 2 hours before tasting)"
